Description
One letter from British horticulturalist Gertrude Jekyll to Helen Allingham apologizing for misplacing Helen's letter from September 8th. Jekyll informs Helen that she will send her potpourri early in the week. She writes that a visit would be poorly timed as she gave up her house and has moved. Jekyll mentions the terribleness of the war, and sympathizes with it appears the German soldiers as they are the weapons of their leader. She writes that the German African colonies will become British ones.
