Description
One letter from English painter John Arthur Lomax to his daughter, Nellie Lomax Allingham, writing from aboard the S.S. "Orient." Lomax hopes that Nellie will enjoy her holiday to Manchester with Henry, and believes that his friends will love her. He encourages Nellie to call on their relatives in Manchester to introduce Henry to them. Lomax writes that he does not care much for the people aboard the ship, and describes different groups of people he has seen during his journey. The letter's paper contains a watermark for Herring, Dewick, & Cripps, Ltd.
