| Description | One letter from Russian-born British novelist Fred Whishaw to Nellie Lomax Allingham, addressed as Miss Nellie, thanking her for the tickets she sent, but writes that he will not be in town on March 1. Whishaw writes that he is very busy at the moment, and sends his love to Nellie's parents, as well as to her and her sister. Whishaw refers to Nellie as "dear-heart," and asks her not to speak of platonic friendship while they write to each other, as it may put him out of step. The letter's paper contains a watermark, The Grosvenor Note, for the Army & Navy Stores. |
