Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, apologizing for missing another mail. Henry writes it reached 75 degrees, and people thought it quite hot. He mentions he continued to dress as he normally did, while others forwent vests and waistcoats. Henry comments he does not know how people will react when he finds it hot. Henry writes on Sunday, he and Charlie planned for a boating picnic and invited two ladies along with them, one being Miss Edna Steers. Henry mentions coming home for next Christmas. He also shares he has received several nice gifts for his birthday and a letter from Madeleine.
