Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, offering his thanks to Miss Pirie for her kind letter. Henry also shares he finds his mother's worry absurd, and assures her should anything happen she will hear about it immediately via the cable. Henry provides updates since his last letter, regarding work and his personal life. Henry mentions taking Miss Grace Erway to see the traveling circus. Henry also mentions a recent boating trip, and work is going well. He describes his experience at Bullard's as invaluable, as he is the only one at the shop with knowledge of the turret lathe. In a postscript, Henry mentions Mrs. Forbes wrote asking him to visit before her return to England, but Henry writes that he cannot.
