Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, writing about his trip to Mecklemburg for the Independence parade, although he went to see about selling the machine. He met with Arthur Kelsey, and is hopeful he may buy it. Henry also mentions the fireworks set off on the evening of July 4th, and compares it to Guy Fawkes Day in England. He also mentions seeing a variety of young ladies during his free time. Henry mentions speaking with Mr. Morse, who is unsure of business prospects in England, and thinks he will stay working in America for now to gain experience.
