Description
One letter from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, writing with the important news that Henry will be the shop superintendent in England. While he has not been formally appointed to the position yet, he expresses his eagerness at receiving the position. Henry mentions the man they originally hired for the position was not up to the task. He also mentions the need to sell his Buckboard and motorcycle as he will not be able to bring them back home. In a postscript, Henry mentions building has commenced on York Road, but he asks Helen not share the news with anyone, but notes that Gerald, and Miss Pirie are omitted from "anybody."
