Description
One letter and corresponding envelope from Henry Allingham to his mother Helen Allingham, during his trip to visit American machine shops. Henry writes he has visited Buffalo, and Niagara Falls. In Buffalo, he mentions visiting several different shops, including an automobile factory. From Buffalo, Henry then visited Cleveland and Cincinnati. Henry informs Helen she will receive one more letter from Pittsburgh before he leaves to return home. The accompanying envelope is postmarked February 23, 1905, in Cincinnati. As well as February 24, 1905, in New York, N.Y., and Hampstead, London on March 4, 1905.
