Interpretation | The World's Columbian Exposition ran from May 1 to October 30, 1893.The Agricultural Building was 500 x 800 feet, and the annex was 300 x 500 feet. It was built near the shore of Lake Michigan facing the Grand Basin. Exhibits included "breads and biscuits, starches and pastes, sugars and syrups, malts and liquor. . . all types of meat and dairy products, [and] every fruit and vegetable known to man."
