Interpretation | This is a glass plate negative. You can see where the glass has been broken. At the end of the 19th century, photography became a hobby for many Americans. This is a photograph of Zay Wright who lived in Champaign County. Like most Illinois residents, Zay's father was a farmer. This picture may have been taken when Zay graduated from 8th grade. |
