Description | Black Forest wall clock with painted wooden shield dial, decorated with flowers at top and columns at sides. Painted black metal hands. Wooden case attatched with hooks. Illegible ink inscription on back of case. Painted tin weights, utilizing buckshot. Adjustable brass pendulum. H 18" x W 12 5/8" x D 5 3/8". |
Interpretation | This clock was possibly a gift from Robert Todd, Mary's father, to Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln for their wedding. |
