Description | Empire-style gondola chair. Side stiles and crest rail are joined to appear as one sweeping piece, bottom edge of crest rail cut out to form scrolls. Splat is vase-shaped - no shoe where joined to seat rail. Serpentine front seat rail with protruding convex molding on bottom edge, front cabriole legs perpendicular to rail. Back-curved saber legs angle out from body. Slip seat upholstered in black horsehair, button tufted with high center puff, shield-shaped. One of six chair set, all identical. H 16 1/4" x W 17 2/3" x D 16 11/16". |
