Interpretation | Ninian W. Edwards was a prominent member of Springfield society. He married Elizabeth Todd, sister to Mary Todd, the future wife of Abraham Lincoln. The Edwards Home was torn down in the early 1900's, to build the Centennial Building, a state office building now known as the Howlett Building. The current state capitol building is next door. |
