Description
One letter from British artist Clara Montalba to Helen Allingham, regarding the collapse of the Campanile in Venice. Montalba sends a photograph along with the letter to Helen depicting the aftermath. Montalba writes no damage occurred to St. Marks and no lives were lost during the collapse. Montalba writes they will be going to the mountains on the 1st of August and remaining there till the end of September. She mentions Helen's pending arrival in Venice on the 18th of September, and hopes they will share many happy moments when she returns to the city.
