Description | One letter from the mother of poet Adelaide Anne Procter, Anne Benson Procter to Helen Allingham, leaving Helen some biscuits for her and her children, which Procter explains are very dry. Procter mentions her trouble with the Italian politician Mezzini, whom she describes as leading other people into trouble but avoiding it himself. She also mentions her good friend Francis Turner Palgrave, and his poem about Eurydice. She compliments Helen's drawings, and mentions the novelist Anthony Trollope. |
