Description
One letter from English writer and critic William Michael Rossetti to Helen Allingham, regarding the art critic Frederic George Stephens. Rossetti discusses his career as a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and his position at "The Athenaeum." Rossetti mentions that Stephens died in 1907, and he wrote a small notice in "The Athenaeum" for him. Rossetti also mentions John Hunter, a relative of Leigh Hunt. There is a note on the first page written in Helen's hand which was scratched out, which reads "August, 1869.
