One letter from British artist Lionel Percy Smythe to Helen Allingham, informing Helen he has left a small circular plan for her at the Society of the OWS, likely the Old Watercolor Society. Smythe writes it would have been a pleasure to see Helen at the meeting that afternoon, and wishes he could have delivered the item in person. He apologizes for his poor handwriting, and explains that he left his glasses "across the channel.
