Title | Transparency, lantern slide |
Description | Glass rectangular slide with painting pictures of men riding animals: rabbit, bird, frog rooster |
Interpretation | Magic Lanterns were projectors which made a small, handpainted image project on a large screen. Shows were held in theatres; children had toy magic lanterns as well. This slide shows an amusing fantastic scene, and was probably meant just of children. |
