Description | This drain tile was made of clay and used for drainage of fields. It has a flat bottom and is 2-4 inches in diameter. |
Interpretation | Early tiles had flat bottoms and were 2-4 inches in diameter, but they soon increased in size and had rounded bottoms to help drain fields. Tiles were mass produced in local factories. |
Inscription | Early drain tile was usually two to four inches in diameter and had flat dinstinctive bottoms. |
