Interpretation | Another indication of the reverence for Lincoln present in Illinois in the generations after his death. The family who received this postcard had a large picture of Lincoln hanging in their Blacksmith shop for many years. Interestingly, the note on the postcard has nothing to do with Lincoln but rather with the health of a sick relative in Chicago. |
