  • One letter from English decorative artist and writer William Morris to William Allingham thanking him for the poem he sent, which Morris calls very good. Morris mentions that one owes a grudge to "the idiot" who associated the violet with Napoleon, and that now no one can wear one in his buttonhole but people will outlive the rascals. Morris also mentions the publication, "Justice." Morris calls himself a rebel and shares that current society is doomed to fall.
