Title | 8 Drawer Cabinet |
Coverage-Year | 1914/192X |
Description | This is an 8 drawer cabinet made using horseshoe nail boxes as drawers. The drawers are furnished with white porcelain 1" diameter drawer pulls held with a bolt and nut. There is no back to the cabinet. |
Interpretation | These homemade drawers held nails, calks, mower sections, and other items that the blacksmith would use daily. Instead of throwing away the packaging of the horse nails, these blacksmiths created something new and useful for their shop. |
