Description | Rectangular soapstone block. Hewn rectangular iron at sides near top. H 17" L 9" D 2". |
Interpretation | Common item, used as a foot or bed warmer. Using the handle, the warmer would be dragged across tha sheets to warm them initially, then the warmer would be left at the foot of the bed under the blankets. |
