Title | Drawing of the Front Parlor of the Lincoln Home |
Description | Drawing of the Front Parlor of the Lincoln Home, facing west, as it appeared in late 1860 or early 1861. Published in Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper on March 9, 1861. |
Interpretation | Published in the same edition of Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper, these pictures proved invaluable to the National Park Service's attempts to reconstruct the appearance of the Lincoln Home as it would have looked in 1860-61. Many of the artifacts now on display in the Home can be identified in the drawings. |
