Title

Description
Smooth-bark apple wood cane. Small limbs have been closely trimmed. Slightly curved at lower end.
Interpretation
Notation reads: "Cane made from a shoot of an apple tree which grew in the back yard of the Lincoln Homestead, Springfield." Part of the original Osbourne Oldroyd collection at the Lincoln Home, Springfield, IL, in the 1880's.
