The Report of the Director for the Year Ending June 30, 1880 (p. 3 https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/61860220) lists 56 oil sketches of 56 species of fish used for coloring casts of fishes for the Illinois State Museum; the artist is not attributed. |
