Note below printed area in ink: "Solemnized by me on the/day and date above written/Charles Dresser." Marked on back: "E.S. Barnes & Caroline S. Inslee No. 2802." L 7 3/4" x W 6". |
Interpretation | November of 1842 must have been a very busy month for the Rev. Dresser as earlier in the month (November 4th) he had officiated at the marriage of Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd. |
