Marked on back "Henson Robinson/Born-March 15, 1839 Xenia, Ohio/Died-April 17, 1900 Spfd." Signs of former oval mat, minor scratches on frame. Part of set with LIHO 7035. H 27 1/4" x W 23 1/4" x D 1 3/4" (frame). |
Interpretation | Henson Robinson was a prominent citizen of Springfield, IL, and a neighbor of Abraham Lincoln. His stove company provided canons during the Civil War, and is still in existence today as a heating and cooling company in Springfield. |
