  • Acquisition made accessible thanks to the generous support of the Frederick J. and Margret L. Worden Endowment.
  • Library's copy lacking wooden counters numbered 10, 45, and 77. A counter originally numbered 4 has been changed in ink to 77. There is an extra counter numbered 57.
  • Contains 90 round numbered wooden counters (in pink cloth bag), and 19 cardboard cards covered with pink paper, with printed sheet of lotto numbers pasted to one side.
  • "Lith. de Jannin, r. de la Sorbonne, 14"--Rules card.
  • Title proper from container; subtitle from rules card.
  • Rules of play in French printed on one of the 19 cards; rules in English and Spanish printed on sheet affixed to inside of box lid, with titles: 'Lottery the lump of gold : society's gaming' and 'Loteria del lingote de oro : juego de sociedad.'
