Interpretation | Buick’s most important new feature in 1934 was the “Knee Action” independent suspension front wheels with coil springs. This improved the smoothness of the ride but as these cars aged some of them tended to shimmy and wander badly. The principle of independent front-wheel suspension was later improved. Other new features included: the “Ride Stabilizer”, a rear sway bar which prevented body roll; vacuum-power mechanical brakes which required half as much pedal pressure; automatic choke; “center point” steering control; and 16 inch “Air Cushion” tires. |
