| Interpretation | The Army of the Cumberland crossed in the vicinity of the destroyed railroad bridge, which Colonel Wright, with the Construction Corps, was already rebuilding. The crossing was effected without difficulty, and the troops pressed forward to and across the Peach Tree creek, when an attack was made by heavy masses of rebel infantry. Barnard, George N.
