Description
The entrance to the main tent at the 1912 Shirley Corn and Horse Show was decorated with cornstalks. Hundreds came to celebrate the corn harvest.
Interpretation
The Shirley Corn and Horse Show was held in October. The annual fair included music, oratory on corn, and judging of corn. A fair also had judging of pies, candy, and ketchup.
