Description
One letter from English artist and designer Robert Anning Bell to Helen Allingham acknowledging that Helen had worked in the area some years ago, and mentions he was unaware she stayed with the Dixon's. Bell offers to inquire about lodgings should Helen decide to come. Bell writes that the Dixon's still let lodgings but mentions Miss Dixon may more capable than Mrs. Dixon. Bell mentions a drawing Helen may remember of a white gabled house in upper cross, which he describes as "rather humble drawn, but picturesque.
