One letter from Bessie Parkes Belloc to Helen Allingham, regarding the death of Helen's mother. Belloc expresses her sadness at Helen's loss, and mentions that Helen's mother was her schoolfellow. Belloc mentions the nickname "Dame ," which Helen's mother received during school. She asks Helen to pass on her sympathies to Helen's uncle, Dr. Herford. Belloc also mentions the death of Helen's father, and writes that she was as close as cousins with him and his siblings during their childhood at Cradley.
