One letter from English novelist and poet Dinah M. Craik to Helen Allingham writing to express her love for Helen, and to invite the Allingham family to her home in Shortlands. Craik asks that Helen choose a day after April 14th, and give her enough time to write back "yes" or "no." Craik also mentions her daughter Dorothy. Craik also mentions a person named "Whale," and their children who she thought were very sweet.
