One letter from English polymath Sir Francis Galton to Helen Allingham returning to Helen four letters and their typed copies, with minor corrections and insertions. Galton writes that he was interested to recall the circumstances under which Fraser's magazine published pieces on "Hereditary Improvement," in 1873 and on twins in 1876. Galton apologizes for having no references of his correspondence with William Allingham for Helen. Galton also refers to William Allingham's "shrinking" from the use of the word "nurture.
