Description | The "Tilbury Flash" is shown on the grounds of the Bloomington Airport, Illinois. It was a small racing airplane, with an 18-foot wing span and a motorcycle engine. It hangs from the ceiling at the McLean County Musuem of History. |
Interpretation | The "Tilbury Flash" was flown regularly in air races during the 1930's. In 1933, Art Carnahan flew the airplane in Chicago and won the race at 114.92mph. |
