One letter from W.J. Stewart to William Allingham informing Allingham that the members of the Legal and Medical Professions in Liverpool are putting on two dramatic performances, on April 30th and May 1st. He mentions that the productions are on the behalf of the fund for rebuilding the Liverpool Royal Infirmary. Stewart informs Allingham that he had suggested Allingham's play "Ashby Manor," which he had made alterations to as one of the performances. As the committee with pleased with his suggestion, Stewart asks for Allingham's consent for the production to occur. He also mentions that it will be preformed on May 1st. Stewart also hopes that Allingham will be able to come to the show, and perhaps deliver the prologue. The letter's paper contains a watermark for De La Rue & Co., London.
