Interpretation | In this threshing scene the men are taking a break. Harvey Little carries a water jug for the men, an important job for young boys. The threshing operators stand proudly next to their machine. The man who operated it had the highest status during threshing time and was seated first at the dinner table. Allen Grant little married Florence Howard True and Florence's brothers are helping Allen out on his farm. Threshing was a community activity. |
