I know a pretty little rhyme, that we’ll be singing all the time, about an international situation, concerning some great nations
oh! It’s got a pretty air, and it’s a fine time rhyme affair, it tells the people to get freedom over there, now ev’rywhere they’re singing
freedom for all and forever, that’s the slogan of Uncle Sam’s, let each nation be free, let each have liberty, we’ll give a great big helping hand to ev’ry land, and rulers like Kaiser Bill should all be laid away, give all the people freedom with their right to do and say, then each land would be a grand land like this good old U.S.A., with freedom for all and forever. This good old ship called Uncle Sam, I’m glad it had a captain grand, for he had kept us sailing life’s peaceful ocean, ‘til Hunland took the notion, they would like to sink his boat, but ship ahoy! It’s still afloat, so Captain Wilson sent across a little note, here’s what he wrote to William:
