Black painted wooden spinning wheel. Four turned legs mortised through a horizontal bench. Two turned poles support a large wheel with turned spokes. Two bobbin holders mounted on a flat bench. Hand forged iron hardware. Wooden pegs used on mortised joints. 37" high.

Black painted vast iron parlor stove with claw feet. Empire style. Retangular belly with two hinged doors in the front. Two square pillars up the sides with a rectangular top and ornate crown piece. Raised wheat sheaf and urn designs overall. Made by Ransom and Rathbone, Albany, NY. 1844.

Wood and wrought iron plow. Long, tapered, and slightly curved wooden beam with "V" shaped handles attached to the back of the beam. Long dished iron blade held in place with a forged iron screw and iron straps. The cutting blade is mounted to the beam and extends downwards to the tip of the blade. 132" long.

1. Homemade corn planter, painted blue. No distinguishing marks. Has handle, seed hopper and hand-lever. 2. Wooden planter. Long square body, flat on one side and tapers to a blunt point on the front. Tin panel on the nose. Single handle with a turned grip which raises and lowers to release seed through the nose. Wakefield Patent, Patent Date July 25, 1854.

Carved wooden wagon jack. Painted red. Forged base with two pronged feet and a plate on the side with a cogwheel and a twisted-shank handle. Forged bar inside the jack raises and lowers on the cog wheel mechanism. U shaped bracket swivels on top of the bar. "1855" is scribed on the top bar of the jack.

Tin hog-scraper style candlestick. Has a round concave base with a tin cylinder protruding upwards from the center and a flattened lip with a short flat handle. 5" high. Candle drippings cover the entire base and cylinder. The height adjustment lever on the stand is missing.

Tin whale oil miner's lamp. Small cylindrical shaped whale oil lamp with a removable cap and a wick tube in the center. The bottom of the lamp has a sharp "v" shaped point which has been soldered on to the base for sticking the lamp into posts or beams. There is a small air vent beside the wick tube on the cap.
