The coin with the reverse reads "V" "Cents", "United States of America," and in small letters, "E Pluribus Unum." There is also a wreath. The coin with the obverse side show a Grecian profile of Liberty wearing a crown that reads "Liberty," and the date, 1888. Around the edge of the coin are thirteen stars that represent the colonies.

Calks were knob-like structures placed on a horseshoe to prevent a horse from slipping. Blunt calks are box shaped, the top being most obviously flat. Sharp calks come to a point at the top and look triangular from the side.

These are three half buggy rims attached to a slat for transportation and storage. They are tacked to the slat across the ends and are chamfered except where eight evenly spaced holes are drilled. The slat originally had four rims attached but one is missing.
