Parlin-Ingersoll Library, Canton, IL Completed in 1958, this modern limestone and granite building is a gift to the City of Canton from Charles D. and Elizabeth M. Ingersoll. Completely air conditioned and including all modern facilities, this library was designed to accommodate 40,000 volumes. It replaces the original Parlin Library (1891) donated by William Parlin.
