Sorry, we couldn't find anything matching "Abraham Lincoln earned the nickname "The Railsplitter" at the time of his presidential nomination in 1860. The name recalled Lincoln's humble origins, and it appealed to voters who believed in the opportunities a free society offered. An unknown artist used this romantic imagery to create a larger-than-life portrait of Lincoln that includes a vision of the White House in the distance - Lincoln's final destination.
