Sorry, we couldn't find anything matching "John Adams, our second President, served from 1797 to 1801. After his term of office, he retired to his home in Quincy with his wife, Abigail. He lived to be ninety years old and died on the same day as Thomas Jefferson, the Fourth of July, 1826. Adams and Jefferson were friends in the early days of the Republic, but had a falling out and did not speak for a long time. Later they made up and often corresponded. Adams was away from home for extended periods of time, and he and Mrs. Adams were prolific correspondents. Many of their letters still exist, and reveal much about their beliefs. Like George Bush, John Adams saw his son, John Quincy Adams, elected President.".
