A letter to Sophronia (McNitt) Cress, the widow of Eli Cress, from Henry H. Keithley, County Clerk of Montgomery County, Illinois. Keithley wrote to order Sophronia's presence at the county court, so that she could report as the guardian of her son, Howard Cress. Also included with the letter is a slip of paper marking an unknown payment.
