A letter to Sophronia McNitt from Patrick Moynihan, a private in the 9th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. Moynihan wrote about life in camp at Corinth, some of his thoughts on local, national, and military politics, and the deaths of some friends in the Battle of Corinth.
