A pamphlet entitled, “Social Welfare in Government,” by La Rue Brown and edited by Marion Banister for the Democratic National Committee. This work covers the history of President Woodrow Wilson's contributions to social welfare and their impact on child labor and women's suffrage. Brown and Banister explain the demise of the Democratic Party's successes with the Republican Party's "changes for the worse," such as "the employment service was cut off abruptly," and "wrecking classification"; however they conclude the Democratic Party and candidates of 1924 (Davis and Bryan) are "the friend of women.
