Description
Caption: "All visitors to Chicago are sure to include a trip to the celebrated stock yards during their sojourn in the city. Thousands of head of cattle are slaughtered here daily. The cattle are housed in hundreds of pens covering three hundred and twenty acres. The problem of supplying this immense area with water was solved by the building of a great tower, from which it is distributed among the pens."
