From text: "The wide distribution of Chicago's population has made it necessary to provide small branch or deposit libraries in the residence districts, thus, in a measure, carrying the benefits of the Library to those who cannot conveniently come to it. These are established at convenient points throughout the city and were formerly housed in rented quarters, frequently in narrow stores which posses the one advantage of being the only procurable space in the neighborhood. But arrangements recently made with park boards have enabled the Library to install attractive little reading rooms in suitable quarters set aside in the field houses of many of the small parks that are being created in congested sections." Davis Square Park is located at 4430 S. Marshfield Avenue, Chicago.
